Today was the longest monday in the history of mondays. I slept way too late and didn’t do nearly enough studying. Then I had to go to class, which will be my last class before our midterm and the teacher didn’t go over a single thing. Then I went to therapy but I’m starting to think I’m not getting a whole lot out of it…I don’t know for sure though…so I keep going. Anyways, after that I realized I had missed dinner at the house and headed over to the library to begin studying for my midterm on wednesday. The material is so over my head. However, on my walk back from the library there was a man—about my dads age—walking this adorable puppy. I couldn’t resist and immediately bent down to play with him. I got to talking with the man and after having my face slobbered and seeming totally cool about it—he asked me if I’d like to walk their new pup (whose name is bear!). I said yes of course. Then as I walked by the Diag there were people giving “free hugs.” I got a hug—of course—and asked them if they wanted their picture taken. They smiled and all ran together for the pic. Then later this evening I received a horribly rude email from a teacher. I know she didn’t mean it in an offensive manner but that’s how it came out. She basically passive aggressively asked me if I had any learning problems and told me she could find help for me or work on some techniques. Nonetheless, it was very out of line and I called my mom feeling so upset and singled out.

So as I get ready for bed and I think about the whole day, there were certainly a lot of sucky parts…but the puppy and the free hugs go a long way.
